Survey Manager
Albert A. Webb Associates (WEBB) is currently seeking an experienced and motivated Survey Manager to lead our survey team. As a Survey Manager, you will play a key role in overseeing all survey-related activities, scheduling staff, and coordinating project deliverables. In this position, you will oversee the execution of multiple simultaneous projects and tasks. You will play an active role in business development by building relationships, delivering excellent projects on time, preparing proposals for new work, and coordinating with clients. As a Survey Manager, you will be instrumental in facilitating communication, tracking project progress, and assisting in the coordination of resources and schedules. Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Coordinate workload and assignments daily with the office survey team. Schedule priorities of all office staff and communicate status & updates with clients.
Project Management: Oversee all survey projects from initiation to completion, including planning, scheduling, and coordinating field and office activities.
Office Survey Services: Oversee preparation of survey and mapping documents such as legal descriptions & plats, boundary surveys, ALTA’s, final maps, lot line adjustments, record of surveys, and corner records.
Data Management: Ensure accurate processing, and management of office survey data, following WEBB standards and procedures, for use in project deliverables.
Survey Mapping and Analysis: Direct the analysis and development of alignment or boundary survey base mapping, ensuring precision and compliance with project requirements.
Research and Documentation: Oversee the research of land survey-related data from local agencies, including survey field notes, title reports, recorded maps, filed documents, and property descriptions.
Quality Assurance: Ensure the accuracy and quality of AutoCAD drafting for exhibits, plans, profiles, and topographic data, as well as the computation of volumes and preparation of digital terrain surface models.
Client Relations: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients on survey-related matters, ensuring clear communication and satisfaction with project outcomes.
Business Development: Develop and maintain professional relationships in the industry. Execute projects with high quality and on schedule. Prepare scopes and budgets in response to requests for proposals meeting aggressive deadlines.
Requirements
Experience: Minimum of five years of experience in land surveying, with at least three years in a supervisory or management role.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D software, with the ability to oversee and review drawings, layouts, maps, and other survey-related deliverables.
Certifications: LS (Licensed Surveyor) certification is preferred; LSIT certification may be considered with significant experience.
Leadership: Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage and mentor a diverse team of survey professionals.
Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills and the ability to address and resolve complex survey-related challenges.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with LiquidPlanner or other resource-based scheduling software.
Salary Range: $83,200 - $133,200.
